Bloodstock Reveal First Bands For 2015 – Within Temptation and Opeth Confirmed

Bloodstock 2014 was the biggest and best to date, and before the dust has even settled on Bloodstock 2014 the organisers already have us salivating for their next offering.

Within Temptation have been conformed to headline on Saturday night, their only UK gig in 2015! The Dutch band headlined Bloodstock back in 2005, their second ever UK show and first ever UK festival appearance. Front-woman Sharon den Adel enthuses, “We’re thrilled to play BLOODSTOCK again!  We had such a great time before and can’t wait to take ‘Hydra’ to the stage at Catton Park.  It’s a really exciting time for us right now and we’re looking forward to bringing the fire!!”

Opeth haven’t played Bloodstock since 2010, and return to take the Saturday special guest slot this year. Having just reached their highest ever chart position at number 14 with Palce Communion, frontman Mikael Akerfelt is suitably enthused. “We’re happy to confirm that we’ll be back at the BLOODSTOCK festival next year!  I don’t know how many times we’ve played there now, but it’s a real great place, a nice festival run by nice people.  Too bad it’s like….a year or so away!?” If you can’t wait until then, Opeth start the Pale Communion tour in October at the following venues:

Oct 10: Bristol O2 Academy
Oct 11: London Roundhouse
Oct 12: Nottingham Rock City
Oct 14: Glasgow ABC 2
Oct 15: Manchester Academy
Oct 16: Birmingham The Institute

Earlybird weekend camping tickets are available now, priced at £120 + £7 booking fee for adults, and £35 + £4 booking fee for children age 4-11.
