Following 2016’s international hit album The Storm Within, Sweden’s Evergrey has a busy year planned for 2019, and that includes UK dates, following the release of a new album and single from the dark and melodic progressive metal band.
New single ‘A Silent Arc’ is out now, and you can watch the video for it right here at RAMzine. New studio album The Atlantic is released on 25th January, and the tour dates take place in March.
With The Atlantic Tom S Englund (vocals, guitars), Henrik Danhage (guitars), Rikard Zander (Keyboards), Johan Niemann (bass), Jonas Ekdahl (drums), present the third part of their Hymns For The Broken trilogy.
“As on Hymns For The Broken and its 2016 successor The Storm Within, the new album is about events and experiences in our lives,” said Englund. “It’s about relationships, beauty and darkness, about fortune and grief, about love, hate, despair, joy and everything connected with it. Life is like a journey across the ocean, on the way to distant shores.”
Track featured are: ‘Silent Arc’, ‘Weightless’, ‘All I Have’, ‘A Secret Atlantis’, ‘The Tidal’, ‘End Of Silence’, ‘Currents’, ‘Departure’, ‘The Beacon’ and ‘This Ocean’. “It’s probably our most complex and progressive release so far and includes all the elements that our fans love.” Englund commented.
Evergrey will be supporting Kamelot for two dates in March & also playing the Hammerfest Festival.
