Essex posi-punksters Giants have announced that they are heading back into the studio this week in order to churn out some new material. The band posted the following on their Facebook:
“A lot has been going on behind the scenes lately; inbetween touring our latest release ‘These Are The Days’ we have been hard at work in the practice room writing new songs. We as a band take so long to write songs, so instead of taking time out of touring/playing shows to write and record a new record, we’re going to do it bit by bit, gradually. The songs we have been writing are in our opinion a massive step up for us. We’ve really pushed ourselves to write stuff that projects who we are as a band in the best way possible, the tracks go wherever we want them to go musically – they are snottier, angrier, faster and generally more approachable in many ways. So we are stoked to announce that we are going into the studio tomorrow to record them for you lot!
We’re unsure of how we’ll be releasing them as of yet but we promise to keep you all filled in. Either way you guys will definitely hear a new song from us before our UK tour supporting H2O (which starts on the 30th of June).
We’ll also be filming studio diaries and updates all this week whilst we are in the studio!Things are about to get real exciting guys. Stay tuned.
With the promise of new tracks at some of their upcoming shows, you’d be a fool not to get yourself down to see the quintet in action! All of the band’s dates are as follows.
11 – Fury Festival, Liverpool
07 – Club 85, Hitchin
08 – The Ivy Leaf Bar, Kent
09 – Messtival 4, Southampton
