Sepultura announce special guest drummer

Brazillian groove metal group, Sepultura, have announced a very special guest will be joining them in the studio to contribute on their upcoming new album.

Former drummer of thrash legends Slayer, Dave Lombardo, was recruited by producer Ross Robinson who asked Lombardo if he would appear on the album after he heard Dave was currently living very close to the studio at which Sepultura were recording. Guitarist Andreas Kisser told of what Dave and the band got up to:

“He came and it was so nice, so special, so awesome! He is one of the nicest guys in business and he enjoyed the idea a lot. Ross and Mike prepared two drum sets on the living room, facing each other, no cymbals, just tribal drums! When the mics were all ready and running Eloy and Dave started playing and the magic was on, so great! The part they recorded will be a special part on the middle of one of the songs, it came out crazy!“

Sepultura’s untitled thirteenth studio album is scheduled for release this year.
