Musically fuelled by bands that laid the foundation of certain genres (Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Possessed, Death, Autopsy, and Venom) AntropomorphiA’s inception lies in the fall of 1990. The band was formed by four individuals that shared a close friendship and passion in honest metal music. The first years of sending out rehearsal tapes and performing shows in local bars around their hometown culminated into the ’92 ‘Bowel Mutilation’ demo, which turned out to be a long sought after item among underground metal fans.
Now, almost two years after the release of “Evangelivm Nekromantia,” its successor has arrived. “Rites ov Perversion” has been written, recorded, mixed and mastered and ready to be cast upon the masses. It is an organic and violent album, where the band is musically going back to their origins, but at the same time, not limiting themselves and exploring the sinister beauty of other dimensions!
Temphioth Workings
This literally pumps violence through bulging veins as its intimidating rampage delivers high octane and explosive corrosion. The potency never wavers and is undeniably flavoured with a good slab of raucous growls.
Carved to Pieces
This comes out kicking and screaming with irresistible slaughtering madness – its rapaciousness knows no limits. Torturous rhythms slice through the auditory canal like a sharp and shiny new knife.
Inanimatus Absqui Anima
The textures contained within this muscle bound track are again intimidating, raw and atmospheric. It smoulders with contempt for its rivals and leaves nothing to the imagination.
Crowned in Smouldering Ash
Confrontational to the core, its slower gait is laden with heaviness and rhythmic beats. It is a furnace of molten abrasions whilst the growls roar with a vicious slur.
Nekrovaginal Secretions
In true grisly death metal style and with a title like Nekrovaginal Secretions did you ever think this would be a romantic walk in the park? Dream on! If you were a slab of meat in an oven you would roast – well this track is the oven and slowly you are getting skewered! Sums it up nicely!
Gospel ov Perversion
In a slow stance this track inflames with a caustic predation. Its sounds are magnetic and wiry with textures and tones to match as it attempts to coax with rage and steely passion.
Morbid Rites
With pointed teeth this will bite whilst ripping your intestines out and feeding them to your dog. Have you ever felt ‘owned’ by a track? Well this has your soul in its spiny skeletal hand and is not letting go any time soon!
Tevfelskvnst
The slithers of bass suddenly turn into a full on massacre of guitar riffs and will suffocate the listener in an attempt to reveal its hidden depths. This is uncompromising and lavish with swaggering rhythms that cast deep hues from its gaping mouth.
Open Casket (Death)
Emotionally draining as it swaggers under the weight of its own enthralling guise. It suddenly turns predatory as the track slows and then for no reason blisters into a madness that is deeply disturbing as it welcoming. The guitar riffs simply melt into a strenuous concoction of molten lead that adds to its all-round heaviness.
This is one unsubtle and powerful album that can and will send shards of acid rain down your spine as it grabs your attention and buckles under the weight of its own metal heaviness. This album is capable of seducing, choking and literally killing its victims from one swipe of its out stretched hands. The pulsating venom is extracted and menacingly thrown undiluted intravenously into a vein and exacted with a very blunt instrument!
The torture continues right the way up until the final note – the knife twists and rips open flesh from small puncture wounds inflicted by the toxic fall out. This is one evil and brutal album that is irresistible to the death metal fanatic, who like myself just needs to feed from its colossal feast of almighty goodness. It is just outstanding in every way shape and form – Death Metal just reached its peak!
