Summer for rockers and metalheads is almost like the Holiday season for a kid, mainly because we are so excited for the many great festivals and gigs coming up. For a metal fan, Bloodstock Festival is like Christmas.
And much like Christmas, the lead-up to the weekend is full of surprises. The latest one from Bloodstock HQ is a handful of bands announced for the Jagermeister stage.
If you have never experienced the wonderful weekend of Bloodstock Festival, Jagermeister Stage is the smallest stage, but by no means is it the least eventful. It even has its own bar and orning.
This week the following bands were announced to play this stage:
Friday sees sludge instrumentalists Wall – featuring Ryan and Elliot Cole of Desert Storm & The Grand Mall
Reading power trio Black Emerald
Slap-bass and drummer duo Ale Of Adam
Doom / stoner dessert rock with jazzy riffs from Godless Suns
and classic rockers Haxan
On Saturday we get alt-metallers Zookeeper
From Garganjua’s Scott Taylor – The New Sun
Doom from Middel-East band Lowen
Mountain Caller – a heavy instrumental prog three-piece.
and Primtai, who are also playing an electric set on the Sophie stage on Friday
and on Sunday we have blues-rockers The Howling Tides
Prog-rockers Trilobite
Grindcore punk-rockers Boycott The Baptist
And finally – Collibus vocalist Gemma Fox.
They will be joining headliners DEVIN TOWNSEND (Friday), KREATOR (Saturday), and JUDAS PRIEST (Sunday).
