Northern Irish post-atmospheric black metal band Domhain has issued ‘My Tomb Beneath The Tide‘, taken from their upcoming debut full-length album, In Perfect Stillness, set for release on 20th February via These Hands Melt.
The band described the track as “a death-scene on a collapsing world: a person lying on a cold beach, the final dopamine hit painting the sky with visions of their life and surrendering to the spirit of the sea with calm acceptance.”
They added, “We took inspiration from our dark and stormy Irish weather, and from our connection to the sea and to wilderness in general. The subject of the tides came naturally for this track, as the riffs reminded us of the perpetual movement of the waves which will turn bones into sand.“We were very lucky to welcome Sarah Fielding from Darkest Era as guest vocalist for this track; she joined the harmonies in this most powerful and creative way, unique to her.” They also noted : The music video itself was directed by our drummer/vocalist Anaïs. Thank you for watching, we hope you enjoy it!”
The quartet that forms Domhain feature an emotional mix of post-black metal, blackgaze, and atmospheric black metal, alongside distinctive vocal harmonies and cello. Their debut three-song EP Nimue (October 2023), showcased their long-form songs filled with myths and remembrances, featured guest cello by Jo Quail and was recorded at Foel Studio with Chris Fielding (Conan, Primordial). They then released the split EP Of Pine and Oak (May 2025), with labelmates Ephemeral, that the band described as “an ode to nature”.
Doman consists of Andy Ennis (Vocals & bass guitar), Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan – Drums, vocals & cello), Nathan Irvine – Guitars) and Ashley Irwin (Guitars & backing vocals). In Perfect Stillness will feature John Wilson (Piano) and Raul Andueza (Cello) as guests on the track ‘Footsteps II’–
