The Used Announce UK Headline Tour

The last few years have seen a vast amount of teen pop bands come back in to the spotlight, with big and fast-selling headline tours. How is this relevant you may say? Well it’s had me thinking about the bands I followed as a teenager myself. One of which, and a band that for me really defined to the ’emo’ rock and ‘Myspace generation’ is The Used. Immensely popular at this time having crafted the art of melodic hooks and angsty, poetic screamo. This was and has always been a popular sound, satisfying followers and inevitably accruing some new ones along the way. There have been a few interludes, but ultimately they have stood the test of time, albeit after a few shuffles within the band line-up. Now nearly fifteen years old as a band, they unleash news that they will be coming back to the UK to play a string of dates – their first headline tour in the U.K in three years. After the success of a sold out tour with Australian rockers and fellow ‘old-skoolers’ Taking Back Sunday – they are now ready to embark upon another tour. It’s sure to be a big one.
