Due in the UK this coming May to perform at Desertfest, Truckfighters‘ Masterflow album is also on its way, but the Swedish rockers have just landed new single ‘The Bliss‘.
Guitarist Niklas ‘Dango’ Källgren and bassist/vocalist Oskar ‘Ozo’ Cedermalm set up shop in a worn-down rehearsal space in Örebro, Sweden back in 2001. The first song they ever recorded, ‘Desert Cruiser‘, went on to become a desert rock anthem, with the pair touring far and wide with a changing line-up of drummers for live performance. While things have been quiet for a while, that’s about to change.
“We’re back with a bang… or should we say, a bliss! ‘The Bliss‘ symbolises everything the new album Masterflow is about: fuzz, groove and melody,” declared the duo. “Gonna be a hell of a ride and we can’t believe it’s the first track we release in 10 years!”
Masterflow has been described as an album “built for packed clubs, endless highways, and speakers pushed to their limits.” Truckfighters will be out on tour promoting it from April through to May across Europe, putting in that aforementioned appearance for Desertfest at The Roundhouse in Camden, London, on 17th May.
