Fresh off a historic Grammy win, YUNGBLUD has announced Idols II, the second instalment of his ambitious concept album series, dropping digitally on 20th February 2026 via Island Records/Locomotion.
The record features six new tracks plus the Smashing Pumpkins collaboration version of ‘Zombie’, which earned a Grammy nomination in its own right. The lead single, ‘Suburban Requiem’, has been revealed alongside the announcement.
Speaking on the new chapter, YUNGBLUD said: “Part 1 was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life. Part 2 is about realising that I am alive, that I am real, that this journey that I’ve been on didn’t kill me. It’s about realising that you can feel invincible when you actually feel yourself.”
It’s been a monumental run for the Yorkshire born artist. Idols landed in June 2025 as his third consecutive UK Number One, followed by a fourth with One More Time, his collaboration with Aerosmith, which also gave the legendary band their first ever UK Number One. Three albums hitting the top spot in the space of a few years is no small feat, and it speaks to just how firmly YUNGBLUD has planted his flag in British rock.
Then came the Grammys. Earlier this month, he took home Best Rock Performance for his rendition of ‘Changes’ at Black Sabbath‘s Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park, performing alongside Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello and Adam Wakeman. He also became the first British artist in history to earn three Grammy nominations in the rock categories in a single year.
Fans can hear the new material live when his sold out UK arena tour kicks off in April, running from Sheffield on 11th April through to a headline show at The O2 in London on 24th April, with stops in Liverpool, Belfast, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham and Manchester along the way.
Physical collectors take note: a store exclusive Idols (Complete) 180g 2LP audiophile vinyl and CD featuring all 19 tracks from both albums will be available, alongside a silver transparent Idols II vinyl with new artwork.
