2000Trees

Time to start thinking about your festival plans. 2000trees is one of those festivals that just gets it right, year after year. Set on the beautiful Upcote Farm near Cheltenham, it feels a world away from the corporate mega-fests, and this year’s lineup is shaping up to be something special. Running from July 8th to 11th 2026 across five stages (including that stunning Forest stage), the multi award-winning festival has just dropped another wave of names that might just have you reaching for tickets.

The big news? Welsh emo legends Funeral For A Friend have been announced as the second main stage headliner, and this will be their only show of 2026. It’s been over 13 years since they last played 2000trees, and with the band heading into their 25th anniversary year, this feels monumental. Ryan Richards put it perfectly: “We only want to do things that genuinely mean something, and this is absolutely one of them.” With Holding Absence‘s Lucas fronting the band, this is where past and present collide in the best possible way.

They join the already announced Alkaline Trio as headliners, while Glassjaw take a headline slot on the Saturday. Wednesday night belongs to PUP, who’ll be heading up the opening evening with support from SPRINTS, The Dirty Nil and Lake Malice.

The Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx are bringing a UK festival exclusive double bill to Upcote Farm for the first time. Both the recently reformed Marmozets and Arcane Roots (as an exclusive) make their much-missed return to the live circuit. LA punk outfit Militarie Gun are one of the most vital bands in the world right now, while Dublin four-piece The Scratch are generating serious buzz.

Add As Everything Unfolds, Petrol Girls, Anthony Green (of Circa Survive and L.S. Dunes fame), UK reggae punk favourites The Skints, Denver-based indigenous punk band Dead Pioneers, and returning heroes A, Cancer Bats/Bat Sabbath, Superheaven, High Vis, Dinosaur Pile-Up, and Ho99o9.

Festival organiser James Scarlett summed it up: “Having Funeral For A Friend return after growing to legendary status, fronted by Lucas from Holding Absence, feels like the perfect summary of what this festival is about.” 2000trees has always been about community, great music, and those moments you carry with you long after the last note fades. This lineup promises plenty of those. Tickets are on sale now.
