HAWXX ae an alternative metal band that originates from Greece, Wales, England and Bahrain but currently based in London. One of their goals is to promote diversity and inclusivity within the rock and metal scene by challenging its male-dominated culture. During our interview at Download Festival 2023 with Hannah, who plays guitar and provides backing vocals for the band we discussed their political stance as well as their efforts to create a safe space for women, queer individuals, and non-binary people at their shows. HAWXX aims to provide representation for those who might not feel seen or heard in the genre.
