Swiss Thrash Lords Final Cut unleash their new video via RAMzine today. The pounding video for ‘Generation Y’ see’s vocalist Patrick Härdi and the band follow a lad about his day. Music is life, we can relate. About half way through the track the use of harmonica is a wonderful surprise, and now we can clearly hear why Final Cut have dubbed themselves “Violent Blues Thrash”.
This is not straight forward Thrash that’s for sure, it’s got plenty of groove, twists and turns that keep you exceptionally entertained throughout the track.

‘Generation Y’ is taken from their forthcoming second album, as follow up to 2014’s Massive Resurrection. The band will shortly be entering the studio to finish recording.
We hear that the bands use of various instruments is to be continued and perfected on the second album. Drummer Florian tells us how these unique stylings came about saying; “Lukas is not only an excellent rhythm guitar player, he also masters the piano and the harmonica on a top level. Since we have founded the band, it was clear for us that we want to make ruthless, but most of all diversified thrash metal. We regularly jam blues with the entire band, simply ‘cause it’s a lot of fun. As we were writing the new song ‘Generation Y’ for our second album, Lukas said he wants to include a harmonica solo. It was so awesome to play this song live for the first time and see the crowd go crazy over it. That’s where we decided: Why not incorporate the blues jam in our thrash metal?! And we all agreed – We’ll invent Violent Blues Thrash!”
