A.A. Williams Drops Haunting New Single ‘Wolves’

A.A. Williams has always understood that the space between waking and dreaming holds its own truth. Her new single ‘Wolves’ lives entirely in that liminal territory, and it’s hauntingly ethereal from the first note.

You can tap straight into the emotion here. The momentum builds through feeling, layers accumulating like half-remembered fragments of a dream you’re desperately trying to hold onto. This is a song that understands you on those down days, no matter who you are, no matter what you believe. Sometimes we need someone to sit with us in the darker moments with space to feel, and Williams offers that.

‘Wolves’ explores emotional echo: that sensation of searching without resolution, of chasing feelings or versions of ourselves that exist just beyond reach. “Ideas and emotions bleed across the boundary, their imprint faint but profound,” Williams explains. “Hazy memories begin to fade, you force your feet to touch the ground, yearning for things that were never yours, hopelessly, endlessly searching for the unattainable.”

The single follows her recent signing to Reigning Phoenix Music. RPM co-founder Gerardo Martinez describes her as “one of the most compelling voices in contemporary music,” and listening to ‘Wolves’, it’s difficult to argue.

Tours alongside Cult of Luna, Russian Circles, Sleep Token and The Sisters of Mercy have taken her across the globe. Her albums Forever Blue and As The Moon Rests received widespread critical acclaim, while her covers collection Songs From Isolation caught the attention of Robert Smith and Billy Corgan.

She’s currently weaving through UK and European dates, with intimate venues from Norwich to Istanbul on the itinerary. Both recent singles are available as tour exclusive vinyl. With Reigning Phoenix Music behind her and material this affecting in hand, 2026 looks set to be significant for A.A. Williams.

Sometimes the wolves are exactly where we need to be.
