Mexican metal band Agora will issue ‘Infinity’ on 8th May. It’s the third and final single from the band’s upcoming album Empire.
The track is said to show the listener the perspective of someone who has lost all faith and is desperately wanting to recover it. Sonically, the track features a wide variety of early 90s American metal, with keyboard work that’s reminiscent of early 70s prog rock, combined with hooky melodic vocal lines and well-crafted heaviness.
The single can be pre-ordered here.
Through a period of continuous work, Agora has four albums under their belt, a live DVD and have also performed at well-known national and international festivals such as Vive Latino, Rock al Parque, Hell & Heaven and Fronterizo Fest.
After sharing the stage with bands like KISS, Judas Priest, Guns & Roses, Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard, they’ve built a large and faithful audience and a large fanbase that follows them in their social networks and concerts.
In 2020 Agora decided to release their most important album to date, Imperio – Described as being loaded with 11 tracks consisting of new textures, harmonies and instruments such as the eight – and seven – string guitars, fretless basses, drums with varying beats, tunings and frequencies, along with Eduardo Contreras’ voice that acts as a catalyst and the central axis.
All of this converged and resulted in new, powerful, fresh and innovative themes within the distinctive style that the band had achieved. Imperio included two special tracks in collaboration with the talented, multi award-winning and renowned American keyboard player Derek Sherinian (Sons Of Apollo, Black Country Communion, Dream Theater, Billy Idol and Alice Cooper).
The band’s first single with Golden Robot Records was ‘Empire‘ and described as an “enticing and hard-hitting track”, it was the first release for the band following their recent tour with Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard on the Mexican leg of those bands’ world tour.
‘Empire‘ is a track intended to empower the listener with a sense of going forward. It can still be ordered here and you can check out the video here at RAMzine.
More recently was ‘In the Name of Destruction’. The song speaks about a catastrophic, futuristic world in which zombies are spreading throughout the land and bringing humankind to extinction.
It’s said to be a strong musical statement with a modern, yet classic approach to bold heavy metal arrangements, and features Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Billy Idol, Alice Cooper), on keyboards., and can be ordered here.
