Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex with Eradicator

Six minutes of pure energy: That’s the live version of the Eradicator classic ‘Of Ashes And Sand’ – from the forthcoming Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex – encapsulates everything the band stands for: Unbridled enthusiasm, lightning-fast riffs and varied song structures.

The opener of their 2015 album ‘Slavery’ it is the first single from the upcoming live album Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex and has lost none of its relevance: self-destruction, exploitation of nature, destruction of one’s own habitat – Humanity is racing inexorably towards catastrophe until only ashes remain.

Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex ill be released on 21st November, with CD and vinyl editions available exclusively from the band’s shop and digitally worldwide via Metalville.

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon in 2004: A wild bunch of teenagers met in their rehearsal room, a small chamber in a barn in the tranquil Sauerland region. Wearing Kreator, Judas Priest and Metallica shirts, these guys covers the classics of their heroes and thus the foundation for Eradicator was laid. Twenty years later, the thrashers celebrate their anniversary with a special home game. Together with Vortex Club in Siegen, they launched the Evil Twisted Metal Feast in October 2024. Six bands, 250 fans, an unforgettable evening and the decision to capture this moment.

With Alive In The Dead Eye Of The Vortex, Eradicator – featuring Sebastian ‘Seba’ Stöber (Guitar, vocals), Robert ‘Robb’ Wied (Guitar), Sebastian Zoppe (Bass) and Jan-Peter ‘Pitti’ Stöber drums) – deliver an 11-song live album that thrashes through the band’s entire history. Four tracks from the current LP The Paradox are also included. With ‘Evil Twisted Mind’, the song that gave the concert its name, one of their oldest songs returning to their live set, and which was already featured on their first release, the demo Back To The Roots (2007).

History also repeats itself behind the controls: producer Jörn Michutta, who was already responsible for the demo, has shaped the live tracks into a dynamically thunderous mix that perfectly captures the energy and atmosphere of the evening. Sebastian Jerke is responsible for the cover design, ensuring “a galactic reunion with the plaque bringer”.

Tracks featured are: ‘Possessed By The Devil’, ‘Of Ashes And Sand’, ‘Beyond The Shadows Void’, ‘Jackals To Chains’, ‘Into Oblivion’, ‘Perpetual Sacrifice’, ‘Evil Twisted Mind’, ‘Kill Cloud’, ‘Baptized In Blood’, ‘The Paradox’ and ‘Read Between The Lies’.
