Munich-based alternative metal outfit Antirope have released a new music video for ‘Intervention’, the second single from their upcoming album Bring Me To Zero, due 1st May 2026 via Eclipse Records.
Antirope occupy a space between the gloom of 90s Seattle grunge and the crushing weight of modern alternative metal, and ‘Intervention’ leans right into that territory. With nods to Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Neurosis, the band carve out something that feels heavy and atmospheric in equal measure.
The video, directed by guitarist Patrick Fleischer (who’s also worked with Lacrimas Profundere and Darkseed), strips things back to raw performance footage with one striking visual centrepiece: vocalist Slaven Stokic performing submerged in a bathtub. It’s physically intense, deliberately uncomfortable viewing that mirrors the oppressive atmosphere of the track itself.
Stokic explains the underwater sequences were about creating a visceral metaphor for the emotional weight in the lyrics, making the intervention referenced in the title feel like a desperate necessity rather than a choice.
Bring Me To Zero promises a heavier, more hook driven sound from the Munich three piece, with dense, down tuned riffs colliding with psychedelic textures across eleven tracks. The album also features a cover of the Cream classic ‘Sunshine Of Your Love’. The lineup is completed by veteran drummer Jürgen “Bam Bam” Wiehler (ex-Bonfire, ex-Megaherz) and bassist Julie Fleischer.
Bring Me To Zero is out 1st May 2026 via Eclipse Records.
