August Burns Red Return with Crushing New Single ‘Behemoth’

August Burns Red are back, and they’ve brought a wrecking ball with them.

The Lancaster, Pennsylvania metalcore veterans have made their triumphant return to Fearless Records with ‘Behemoth’, a new single that lives up to its name in every possible way. This new track is a behemoth of a hard hitter, and the video is great. It’s just what we need.

For over two decades, August Burns Red have been carving out their own space in metalcore. They show zero signs of slowing down, with multiple top 10 Billboard 200 placements, over 600 million streams, and two Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance (‘Identity’ in 2016 and ‘Invisible Enemy’ in 2018).

Guitarist JB Brubaker revealed that the track went through more revisions than any song they’ve ever written. Despite the frustration, he says the band collectively feels proud of the result, calling it one of the heaviest and most raw songs they’ve ever delivered.

Vocalist Jake Luhrs explained that lyrically, ‘Behemoth’ explores past pain living through present actions, describing a journey of facing reality, healing, and ultimately breaking free to change the course of your life.

Fans can catch August Burns Red on the Spring Horizons co-headline tour with The Amity Affliction, supported by Boundaries and Heavensgate, kicking off April 10 in Worcester, MA and running through to May 17 in Philadelphia, PA, including a festival date at Sonic Temple on May 16.
