In a world of boundaries Beyond Unbroken refuse to be defined by one genre. Founded by former Escape The Fate members, brothers Monte and Michael Money, the band habitually crosses the lines, mixing genres the way an artist mixes paint with results that often defy expectation. Their latest single ‘Oceans’ is out now.
“‘Oceans’ is a track that indulges our curiosity about the pop music space. There are many heavy hitters in this genre, and with this song, we wanted to experiment with different artistic outside the box ideas throughout the track. We had a lot of fun exploring and putting together all of the many elements that makeup the song and what they turned into for the final version,” said the band.
“There are a few key factors that made ‘Oceans’ really fun to create during the writing process. For instance, in the bridge section, we wanted an underwater, old-school digital Gameboy lead sound. We referenced video games like Pokémon and Donkey Kong to inspire that clever little lead. It’s one of our personal favorite sections to hear in the song. On the other side of the song, we introduced real finger snaps. After listening and referencing Michael Jackson and how he uses his own finger snaps in his songs, we thought it would be another fun little idea to include in the recording. We experimented with snapping one palm and then two palms at the same time to create a fuller sound. It sounded so good to us that we ended up putting it as a break in the song, right in the middle of the chorus, to hook listeners in.
“We feel that ‘Oceans’ will make a tremendous impact on our fall full-length album by showcasing our different signature styles and genres that we love to tackle. Each song stands out with its own uniqueness, and ‘Oceans’ will contribute to the diversity and richness of the record.”

Previous single ‘Lost And Broken’ melded the intense energy of metalcore, the raw power of hard rock, the heaviness of traditional heavy metal, and the experimental edge of alternative metal, while infusing influences from cyberpunk, thrall, and doom metal.
“Lately, we’ve been having a lot of fun in the studio incorporating all sorts of cool synthesizers into our new music,” Beyond Unbroken explained. “This shapes and enhances our overall sound and appeal, especially in ‘Lost and Broken’. The song incorporates these elements from top to bottom, enhancing its originality without disrupting it. That’s what we love most about production— Making crazy sounds that elevate the music.”

It followed the single ‘Monster’ that narrates the tale of a relentless stalker and draws inspiration from the TV show YOU. Blending menacing guitar riffs with hauntingly vocals it features a compelling mix of sharp, aggressive melodies and eerie industrial soundscapes. Striving for a departure from their usual style, Beyond Unbroken aimed to craft a track that ignites movement and captivates audiences.
The evolution of ‘Monster’ involved experimenting with multiple versions, each exploring different genres and moods. Through a meticulous fusion of preferred elements, the final composition emerged, delivering the remarkable auditory experience it embodies today. ‘Monster’ is a track different from what you are normally used to hearing from most typical songs out there,” explained Beyond Unbroken. “I can guarantee that every listener that loves to explore and discover new music will pick up on something extraordinary in this track right away.”

Beyond Unbroken previously released ‘My Life’ a pop-punk anthem of new hope and moving forward. It is available from FiXT and you can check the video out here at RAMzine.
“’My Life’ is about living in the present and embracing life as it is, learning to let go in order to move forward instead of holding onto all our grudges,” said the musical act. “We want listeners to come away with a positive outlook on their own lives, realising that all time is precious. If we stopped to consider this, we might see that our lives could be better by seizing the moments we have and simply being in the present.”
