Black Veil Brides have announced their seventh studio album, Vindicate, set for worldwide release on May 8 via Spinefarm.
The record promises to be one of the most ambitious chapters of the band’s career, spanning 14 tracks from the opening organ introduction and dramatic soliloquy of ‘Invocation To The Muse’ to the emotive finale of ‘Eschaton’. Vocalist Andy Biersack, guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and drummer Christian Coma have already given fans a taste of what’s to come with previously released singles ‘Bleeders’, ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Certainty’.
The latest preview arrives in the form of the title track, ‘Vindicate’, which opens with a haunting calliope introduction before erupting into a driving wall of guitars and Biersack’s signature scream. An NSFW music video directed by George Gallardo Kattah is available to watch now.
Speaking about the album’s themes, Biersack shared that the record explores feelings of revenge and vindication, describing them as emotions with a powerful duality that can either fuel growth or become destructive. At its core, he says, Vindicate is about resilience, and it’s for anyone who has ever had their dreams doubted or their fire challenged.
The full tracklisting for Vindicate is: ‘Invocation To The Muse’, ‘Vindicate’, ‘Certainty’, ‘Bleeders’, ‘Hallelujah’, ‘Cut’, ‘Alive’, ‘Purgatory’, ‘Revenger’, ‘Sorrow’, ‘Grace’, ‘Ave Maria’, ‘Woe & Pain’, and ‘Eschaton’.
In support of the album, Black Veil Brides will embark on a 24-city North American headline tour kicking off April 25 in Riverside, CA and wrapping up May 30 in Worcester, MA. Support comes from From Ashes To New, TX2, and As December Falls. UK fans can also catch the band at Download Festival in Donnington on June 13.
