Candice Night’s new solo album, Sea Glass, is due for release on 25th April, via earMUSIC as a limited edition green vinyl LP, CD digipak with lyric booklet, and digitally. Ahead of that, and out now is ‘Unsung Hero (She’ll Never Tell)’ the third single from the album.
‘Unsung Hero (She’ll Never Tell)’ celebrates the quiet strength of a heroine. She accomplishes so much that goes unnoticed, all while battling her inner demons. Despite her struggles, she never complains and continues to support others selflessly.
“I wrote ‘Unsung Hero (She’ll Never Tell)’ in the middle of the night one night and… the great inspiration for that song and for many things in my life is my mom. She’s amazing. But as I was writing it and as I was singing it I did see some flashes of myself in there. And I also saw flashes of basically every woman that I know.”
A tribute to all the “wonder women” out there who don’t receive the recognition they deserve, the upcoming music video follows interwoven stories of women from all walks of life as they battle their ‘dragons’ – shadowy fears and anxieties – as they find their own way forward, showing that heroism isn’t always about grand gestures: it’s in the quiet resilience of everyday struggles.

It follows ‘The Last Goodbye’, her second single from the album, one that features Ritchie Blackmore on guitar.
’The Last Goodbye’ explores themes of love and loss, its melody capturing both sadness and hopefulness. It evokes a deep sense of nostalgia, bringing forth a flood of emotions. Unlike the fantasy elements in Blackmore’s Night, Candice Night’s solo work is said to be a direct expression of her true self. She emphasises the emotional impact of her music, both when writing and listening to it, and how it serves as a reflection of her life’s journey.
“Love is a story topic that has always inspired me. Love found, longed for, and lost… The depth of completely giving your heart to another with the promise of forever, which starts so hopeful and magical but leaves us so vulnerable and helpless in the wake of torrential emotional storms. Like the moon and tides, relationships ebb and flow, wax and wane. How to know when a sad moment of hard truth appears if you stay together or if it will ultimately be The Last Goodbye. This song takes us on the emotional journey of that deep, heartfelt decision,” remarked Night.
’The Last Goodbye’ is available here.
Sea Glass was produced by Candice Night and features a musical alchemy of her influences, experiences, and sensibility inspired by a lifetime of challenging musical adventures as well as the magic and the demands of everyday life and family. It is an album that travels through rock, country, and deft acoustic pop terrains and matters of love, loss, inspiration, and hope to unearth sonic jewels, much like the power of the natural forces that craft sea glass itself.
“These slivers of hope were actually just pieces of broken glass, sea glass, that had been tossed away, shattered, smoothed by the rapture of the waves, and returned back to the land, as gems, to be found with great joy by someone like me. No longer lost upon the sand… Sea Glass is for you to treasure,” said Night.
Tracks featured are: ‘Sea Glass’, ‘Unsung Hero (She’ll Never Tell), ‘The Line Between’, ‘Angel and Jezebel (Rock Version)’, ‘Promise Me’, ‘Dark Carnival’, ‘The Last Goodbye’, ‘When I Want to Fly’, ‘Another Day’ ‘Nature Boy’ and ‘Angel and Jezebel (Back Porch Version)’ – The album can be ordered here.
