Classic rockers Cats In Space will hit the road again this autumn for a string of dates to celebrate not just the continued success of their latest album Time Machine, but their forthcoming Chapter 1 4 CD box set, and also their 10th anniversary as a band.
Promising yet another “visual presentation like no other”, the tour also features two headline UK festival appearances, some overseas festival appearances and a juicy double header show in Bath on October 21st with prog rock sensation Rosalie Cunningham.
The forthcoming new 4 CD clamshell box set collection features the band’s first four albums with original singer Paul Manzi, Too Many Gods, Scarecrow, Cats Alive! (recorded at The Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff) & Daytrip To Narnia.
Chapter 1 gathers together these deleted and sold-out albums in this remastered collection while also including some exclusive bonus tracks, a historical, illustrated booklet with essay and a pull-out colour poster.
Announcing this release the band said: “Our early albums are no longer available, so it made sense to rerelease them with our record label team at Esoteric Recordings and Cherry Red Records orchestrating something extra special for fans new and old. Our aim is that this box set will help spread the word about Cats In Space both in Europe and the rest of the world.”
“For the first time this year we have finally visited Sweden, plus dates in France and Ireland, and headlining two UK festivals has really turned 2025 into our finest year already!”, said guitarist Greg Hart. “Our current album Time Machine album is continuing to sell really well and now we have the CD box set coming out this July, plus we have a huge appearance to announce that we are simply buzzing about. I think this proves as ever we are not a band to do anything by half measures!! That announcement is that Cats In Space will be joining the Electric Light Orchestra at London’s Hyde Park on 13th July as part of the prestigious BST Hyde Park series.
