Country Metal Act Cody Parks Signs Record Deal & Drops ‘Snake Shaker’

Nashville’s own Cody Parks And The Dirty South have officially signed to Frontiers Label Group via their BLKIIBLK imprint, and they’re celebrating with a brand new single and video for ‘Snake Shaker‘.

Cody Parks And The Dirty South are fusing Southern country storytelling with classic heavy metal. They call it Country Metal, and honestly, it works far better than it has any right to.

The new single ‘Snake Shaker‘ is a textbook example of the band’s approach. Cody Parks describes it as a tale about the more unheard of, potentially unnerving things people might encounter in the American South.

The band first turned heads with their genre-bending mashup ‘Thunder Cash ’69‘ from their 2023 covers EP Smothered & Covered, which topped the iTunes Rock chart in three countries and reached number three on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart.

On the signing, Parks says the opportunity to work with industry veterans at BLKIIBLK and Frontiers felt like the perfect home for his vision of Country Metal. With releases like Country Metal, Vol. 1 already under their belt and a reputation for turning every live show into a full-throttle party, the partnership makes total sense.

Starting 18th March, Cody Parks And The Dirty South hit the road as direct support for Steel Panther on the Twenty Twenty $ex Tour, bringing their high voltage live show across the US through to May.

Cody Parks And The Dirty South are Cody Parks (vocals), Johnny Palmieri (guitar), Alex Walls (guitar), Clay Eubank (bass) and Jon Hopkins (drums).
