Dead Pony Hit the Road with New Single ‘Eat My Dust!’

Dead Pony have announced a run of headline shows across the UK this May and June, with eight dates confirmed and supports still to be announced.

The Glasgow four piece will hit the road in support of their latest single ‘Eat My Dust!’, a track that sees the band leaning into heavier territory with a metal edge that suits them well. There’s something genuinely nostalgic about ‘Eat My Dust!’ despite Dead Pony being a relatively new name on the scene.

Guitarist Blair Crichton says the track is “written about moving on from negative things in your past, bettering yourself and letting the haters choke on your dust cloud as you pass them.” He adds that the band had fun exploring heavier influences, with drums and guitar channelling a metalcore vibe they want to push further.

The single follows their debut album, which earned them a Scottish Album Of The Year nomination and saw the band rack up charting success alongside a busy run of tours and festivals. Frontwoman Anna Shields continues to be a genuine powerhouse, and ‘Eat My Dust!’ is a bold, rage fuelled statement that makes it clear Dead Pony aren’t slowing down after their time away from releasing music.

The headline tour kicks off on 26th May in Nottingham at BETA, taking in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Cardiff, and Southampton before wrapping up at London’s The Underworld on 4th June. Tickets went on general sale 20th February.

On top of the headline dates, the band will also appear at Slam Dunk Festival (South on 23rd May, North on 24th May) and All Points East on 30th August alongside Twenty One Pilots.

The video for ‘Eat My Dust!’, directed by Zak Pinchin, is out now.
