Degreed’s Broken Dreams as the Curtain Calls

Swedish rock band Degreed release a new studio album, Curtain Calls, through Frontiers Music Srl on 10th April 2026. Ahead of that, their latest single, with accompanying lyric video, ‘Broken Dreams’.

“This song shows a darker and deeper side of Degreed,” said singer and bassist Robin Eriksson. “The lyrics are very personal for me. I wrote them about finding my way back to life after years of addiction.

“This is truly one of the best albums we’ve ever made,” he continued, admitting, “Yes, it’s a cliché. Yes, a lot of bands say that about every new record they make. But I truly believe this is one of our best, if not the best. I’ve never been as focused while making an album as I’ve been on this one.”

Produced by drummer Mats Eriksson, Curtain Calls balances technical craftsmanship with immediate listener appeal, blending modern punch with classic melodic hard rock sensibilities while preserving the band’s identity.

Debuting with the 2010 Life, Love, Loss album, the band has gone from strength to strength with each release, mixing classic melodic and hard rock sounds with more contemporary influences, even as they toured across the world. Following the release of 2019’s Lost Generation, the COVID pandemic prevented them touring, summing up their feelings on the matter with the song ‘The World We Knew’, which became Track of the Week at Classic Rock Magazine’s website a week after its release.

In 2022 they returned with Are You Ready, Public Address the following year, and more recently The Leftovers, Volume I EP, where they dived deep into their vault of unreleased gems.

On Curtain Calls, also featuring band members Robin Eriksson (bass, vocals), Mikael Blanc (keyboards) and Daniel Johansson (guitars), you’ll find the tracks: ‘One Helluva Ride’, ‘Holding On To Yesterday’, ‘Believe’, ‘Guiding Light’, ‘My Blood’, ‘Curtain Calls’, ‘The Rambler’, ‘Matter Of The Heart’, ‘Broken Dreams’ and ‘Promise Me’. It can be ordered from the Frontiers Music webstore.
