You may have been wondering why Don Broco frontman Rob Damiani has been posting videos and images of his training for a big boxing match. Although convincing, he was training for their new video for their latest track ‘Gumshield’. You can see the video below:
As you can see – Rob also channels his inner Ultimate Warrior becoming a wrestler and in true Broco fashion – colouring very much outside the lines.
Fun fact: The opponent is actually played by UK Boxing Champion Dave ‘White Rhino’ Allen.
‘Gumshield’ is taken from Don Broco’s upcoming album Amazing Things released September 17th via Sharptone Records.
Rob had this to say about training for the video:
“After seeing all these YouTubers try their hand at boxing we thought it would be an interesting experiment to see if we could convince people I was deluded enough myself to fight a professional boxer. The song itself is about the anxiety that comes with posting online and the fear of resulting arguments so the divisive nature of my entrance to the sport personally hit all those triggers for me!“
