Elles Bailey Returns With Can’t Take My Story Away

Elles Bailey has shared ‘Better Days’, the latest single from her forthcoming album Can’t Take My Story Away. The track carries a weight, written by Bailey’s close friend Matt Long before his passing last year. It’s a deeply personal moment on a record already rooted in honesty and reflection.

The new album, Can’t Take My Story Away, arrives January 16th via Cooking Vinyl and Outlaw Music, following Bailey’s highest charting record to date. Built over three years from songs stretching back nearly a decade.

“There’s definitely an empowerment to this record,” Bailey says. “I feel like that has actually evolved since I first started making it, as though I was a different person. There is a quiet strength running through this album and a deep-rooted honesty.”

Produced by Luke Potashnick and recorded with a fresh lineup of musicians separate from her touring band, the eleven tracks tie together a kaleidoscopic story of resilience, hope and new beginnings.

UK and EU tour dates follow in February and March 2026, including London’s Islington Assembly Hall on March 19th and a hometown show at Bristol’s Electric on March 21st. Her longstanding touring band returns for all live performances. A special festival appearance at Sun, Sand and Soul in Florida alongside Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit and Drive-By Truckers lands on April 24th.

Pre-orders are open now across CD, coloured vinyl and cassette formats, with signed copies available through Bailey’s store.
