Cincinnati, Ohio four-piece band Enmy release ‘Hourglass’, a single that blends fierce intensity with a touch of melancholy.
‘Hourglass’ is a rich and layered soundscape that is both emotive and hard-hitting. The single captures the essence of hard rock, alternative metal, and modern rock, appealing to fans across these genres with its raw energy and poignant lyrics.
The song explores the theme of valuing one’s time and not wasting it on unworthy people and places. Enmy explained, “The song is about not sacrificing your time on people and places who are undeserving of it.”
It follows ‘Broken Man’ where they slowed down to release an emotionally charged anthem and showcased the band’s blend of hard rock and alternative metal while delivering an experience that is both fierce and introspective.
Demoralised. Humbled. Defeated. ‘Broken Man’ is intended as a poignant and haunting rock anthem that delves into the internal struggles of a protagonist who has always felt isolated and misunderstood. The song explores themes of self-reliance, inner turmoil, and the longing for connection. With its powerful vocals and driving guitar riffs, Enmy creates a soundscape that mirrors the emotional intensity of the well written and thought provoking lyrics.

The single mixes both brutal and ethereal vocal performances, lacing them through searing guitar riffs, heavy hitting drums, and haunting synthesisers. As Enmy explained, “The song was lyrically written in the car while driving to the studio where we were supposed to track vocals for a different song. We ended up getting so caught up in this song that our schedule was scrapped and we ended up tracking ‘The Ledge’ instead.”
The official music video for ‘The Edge’, directed and produced by Will Story, is an ominous depiction of the songs lyrics with its ambiguous displays of faith, chaos, and home, on top of the heavy soundscape. With lyrics inspired from the human tendency to put others up on a pedestal to be perfect In the end, we are all human and we make mistakes. ‘The Ledge’ takes listeners on a tumultuous journey through the depths of human emotion from the perspective of those under the pressure to be perfect.

“When we set out as a band, we were dedicated to the mindset of being independent. We wanted to always have the freedom to do what we wanted. We also wanted anyone that was involved with our band to share our passions for creating something special, so we have always been extremely careful about the team we have around us,” said the band.
“James reached out to us a couple years ago, I believe it was right after Never Healing was released in 2020. We had remained in contact ever since and it wasn’t until we began speaking again in 2023 that we really became familiar with who FiXT was and what they represent. It’s funny how everything comes together, but we are extremely happy to join the FiXT family. When we really began piecing everything together it was clear that we aligned on everything in terms of direction, music, and brand. The best is yet to come from Enmy and FiXT will be a big part of that.”

Their catchy songwriting and impeccable production mixed with their ability to fuse hard rock with electronic programming make them a natural fit here at FiXT. I think these guys have insane potential and I’m looking forward to being a part of the journey in helping them reach that potential!” said James Rhodes, FiXT’s vice president & co-founder.
“I remember hearing Enmy for the first time and being immediately hooked,” said FiXT president & co-founder Klayton. “Their songwriting, production, and ability to blend electronics and metal seamlessly, made it obvious to me that they would be great fit as part of the FiXT roster. Dig into the deluxe edition of their debut album ‘Breaking Down’ and give them a follow on socials to keep up with new music coming soon.”
