He made his bed with H.E.A.T, reignited Skid Row, and most recently recorded with and fronted legendary guitarist Michael Schenker‘s live band across Europe. At various points over the years, encumbered by personal health issues, Erik Grönwall is now laying his Bad Bones out for all to see.
It’s not only the title of Grönwall’s new single, out now, but the title track to his new solo album due out on 22nd May too.
Turning his focus fully inward, delivering a raw and honest piece of work as he starts a bold new chapter in his career, the ‘Bad Bones’ single sets the tone for an album of original material intended as being “fearless, personal, and uncompromising”.
“I’ve had the honour of fronting some great bands, but now it’s time to tell my own story,” Grönwall said. “‘Bad Bones’ is about owning who you are and not apologising for it.
“I’ve always walked my own path, no matter what people thought. I’ve never followed the norm, and I’m not about to start now. This is how I’m built.”
Alongside his work on stage and in the studio, Erik Grönwall has built an impressively successful YouTube channel, amassing millions of views and a global audience. He will be performing live in Stockholm at the end of May, with festival appearances to be announced soon.
‘Bad Bones’ is available on all major digital platforms.
