From The Land’s Stolen Season

Anatoly Pakhalenko, frontman with dark folk band Nytt Land has created From The Land, a new dark country/gothic rock project to serve as an alter ego for his creative exploration and experimentation within dark country and blues genres.

The band’s aesthetic is described as a “black and white world tired of all this s**t that’s going on around and gradually sinking into an endless sleep.” They are said to draw inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and David Lynch.

A debut album, Stolen Season Pt. I is slated for a release on 21st November via 7 Mater, with distribution handled by The Circle Music while out now is second single, and accompanying video ‘F.K.’ taken from their upcoming album

Regarding the new track, the band stated: “‘F.K.’ is open to individual interpretation; its origin remains a mystery. This song is dedicated to all knights of the road, lone riders, nomads, and vagabonds. It is a hymn to endless paths and to those madmen who have chosen such a fate for themselves.”

The release of ‘F.K.’ coincides with an upcoming performance at a significant biker festival in early September, which is a large gathering of biker clubs from Siberia, Mongolia and China. The band recently filmed the music video for ‘F.K.’ with one of the largest motorcycle clubs in Siberia.

Both ‘F.K.’ and Debut single, ‘Psalm 2’, are available now now across all digital platforms here, accompanied by music videos you can check out here at RAMzine.

The song ‘Psalm 2’ was composed byPakhalenko and Aleksandr Rosliakov, with lyrics taken from the Bible. It was recorded at Nytt Land Studiobetween January and May 2025, with Pakhalenko serving as recording and mixing engineer, and producer. The track also features a Mongolian traditional flute, the shoor, as a nod to Pakhalenko’s work with Nytt Land.

The band’s forthcoming debut album, Stolen Season Pt. I can be ordered here.
