Welsh progressive rock outfit Godsticks have announced their seventh studio album, VOiD, set for release on 27th March via Kscope.
Described as the band’s “darkest, heaviest, and most uncompromising album to date,” VOiD channels disillusionment with a world defined by division, ideological rigidity, and the erosion of nuance. Both lyrically and musically, the record documents a conscious withdrawal from the noise into a personal void.
Guitarist and vocalist Darran Charles explained the themes driving the album, describing a cultural landscape where compromise and perspective have all but vanished. For Charles, the futility of engaging with that noise became the album’s core philosophy, preferring instead to retreat into his own space.
Musically, Charles called VOiD the toughest and most demanding record the band has ever made, pushing them to the extremes of what they can do as musicians. He also praised the contributions of bandmates Tom and Gavin, whose input during the writing process he described as indispensable. This is also the first Godsticks album in 12 years to feature a different bass player, Francis George, whose fresh perspective has influenced the rhythm section’s overall feel.
VOiD features the tracks ‘M.I.A.’, ‘Hold Back’, ‘Watch It Burn’, ‘Master Of A Plan’, ‘Torn Again’, ‘Can’t Withstand’, ‘Ruthless Coward’, ‘Talking Through Walls Pt. 1’, ‘Talking Through Walls Pt. 2’ and ‘Hope Is Burning’.
The album is available as a pearl sunrise vinyl LP, classic black LP, CD, and digitally. Pre-orders through the Official Godsticks Store and Kscope Store include Nowhere To Be Seen, a free bonus CD with three unreleased tracks.
Godsticks will be touring the UK from April through to July. Check the dates below and grab your tickets.
