Hard Rock Band Harsh have the Feels

Parisian hard rock band Harsh add a modern twist to a traditional sound with a touch of the theatrical when performing live, yet all delivered with emotional sincerity.

They’ve been active for over 20 years, but if you’ve not heard of them, here’s your chance to change that as their brand new single ‘Back To Life’ is ready for the airwaves, with a new album in the offing too.

“This song tells the story of someone struggling to feel again after going through the darkest moments of his life. Through a contrast between melancholic verses and a luminous chorus, it explores emotional numbness, healing, and support. A powerful and intimate track about learning to feel again,” said the band regarding the new single, ahead of new album Feels‘ release.

In 2022, Harsh debuted with Out Of Control and played over 300 shows, touring with the likes of The New Roses, Anvil and former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes throughout Europe and the UK.

Kissin’ Dynamite vocalist Hannes Braun mixed and mastered Feels, their follow-up that’s due out on 3rd July through Fireflash Records. It will be available on CD, limited blue-marbled-opaque vinyl and digitally. It can be ordered here.

“Working with Hannes Braun is kind of a dream for us. We love Kissin’ Dynamite‘s music and sound, and Hannes knows exactly how to get the best of each of our tracks. It’s always great and smooth to work with him,” said Harsh‘s singer and guitarist Albert Arnold.

“The overall result speaks for itself and gives the listener a good time, which is important nowadays more than ever. For us, music is about expressing our feelings. It all comes down to creating a strong bond with the listener, on and off stage. This means everything to us.”

“We explore a variety of feelings on this album,” said the band. “Simple ones such as falling in love or breaking up, but also mixed emotions that are harder to express, and are often disregarded. Here we’re talking about guilt, the need to find your place and your identity, helping someone going through grief, but also what binds us together: friendship.”
