Swedish hard rock act Creye return with renewed ambition on their forthcoming album, IV Aftermath, which also introduces new frontman Simon Böös and a partially refreshed line-up.
Now featuring Böös alongside Andreas Gullstrand (lead guitar), Fredrik Joakimsson (rhythm guitar), Denny Karlsson (bass) and Vidar Savbrant (drums), IV Aftermath will be released on 24th April 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. Two singles have already landed from it.
Regarding the latest, the band said: “‘Rust‘ is the definitive single we knew we needed all throughout while making the new album. As irony would have it, it was one of the last songs to get written but also the one that took the least amount of time to write. It has that perfect balance between a gritty low-key verse and a powerful chorus.”
Of its predecessor, Creye commented: “‘Left In Silence‘ is about what happens when people drift apart and stop truly speaking and listening to each other. The song captures that quiet aftermath, when communication fades and only silence remains. As the first release from our upcoming album, it kicks open a new chapter for the band, powered by fresh energy, driven by the original vision, and focused on pushing our sound forward without losing what made us who we are.”

Songs featured on IV Aftermath are: ‘Something Missing‘, ‘Bad Romance‘, ‘Rust‘, ‘Left In Silence‘, ‘Don’t Talk About It‘, ‘Through The Window‘, ‘Only You‘, ‘Glow‘, ‘Aligned‘, ‘The Last Night On Earth‘ and ‘Clay‘.
“IV Aftermath pushes the legacy forward with purpose and determination, our most complete album yet, built on the same flame that started it all,” the band said.
Founding member and guitarist Andreas Gullstrand remains at Creye‘s core. Having built a solid reputation through their early releases and gained international attention beyond Sweden, the band set out with IV Aftermath to honour the legacy of classic melodic hard rock while reshaping it for a contemporary audience.
