In Twilight’s Embrace will release their fourth full-length, Vanitas, on 22nd September 2017 through Arachnophobia Records. It is being described as the band’s darkest material to date, both lyrically and musically.
“Having confronted several deaths of family members and friends, made me realise the true weight of mortality,” confessed vocalist, Cyprian Lakomy. “The realisation paved the way for reflections which would later become the backbone of the lyrics and atmosphere on Vanitas”. Such comments are not intended as a gimmick on Lakomy’s part. “Death is an opportunity to ask questions about the here and now, and what kind of legacy – if any at all – we are possibly leaving”.
In Twilight’s Embrace’s line-up is completed by Leszek Szlenk (guitars, bass), Marcin Rybicki (guitars) and Dawid Bytnar (drums). Vanitas was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marcin Rybicki at Vintage Records and Left Hand Sounds and features the following tracks: ‘The Hell of Mediocrity’, ‘Fan the Flame’, ‘As Future Evaporates’, ‘Trembling’, ‘Flesh Falls’, ‘No Ghost Lifts’, ‘Futility’, ‘The Rift’ and ‘The Great Leveller’.
Established in 2003 in Poznan, Poland, In Twilight’s Embrace roots were in punk, as evidenced by the three-track EP Trembling, where they covered legendary Polish act Armia’s ‘Opowiesc Zimowa’. It followed their breakout third album The Grim Muse that featured Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates.
Having performed at events such as Metalmania Festival, Castle Party and due to play the Immolation Festival as part of their Polish tour, In Twilight’s Embrace look to be busy for the foreseeable future. Pre-orders for Vanitas on CD are now available through Arachnophobia Records now and vinyl albums will similarly be available soon.
