Five albums with more than two million records sold, and 12 UK Top 40 singles with ‘Good Enough‘ one of the most played songs on British radio over the last three decades, Dodgy is back with a bang in 2026. A new album, singles and extensive touring alongside anniversary celebrations are all planned.
Formed in the late 1980s, Dodgy, tagged among Britpop’s pioneers, were certainly part of the ’90s British guitar boom. With original members Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller still at the helm, they’re intent on continuing to evolve as a band and retain the optimism and melodic instinct that first connected them with audiences more than thirty years ago.
First out the box is new single ‘It’s Not The End‘, following in the wake of comeback single ‘Hello Beautiful‘, that became the band’s first Top 40 chart appearance in over a decade. “‘It’s Not The End‘ was arranged really quickly in the studio during the sessions for the new album,” explained vocalist Nigel Clark. “It started with a simple lyric that felt really direct and honest, and the song just seemed to guide us where it wanted to go. It became an instant favourite. Reviews have said it sounds like an older, wiser, deeper Dodgy, which is exactly how I’d want us to sound in 2026.”
Drummer Mathew Priest added: “It feels like the right time for the band. The reaction to the new music has been brilliant and we’re really looking forward to taking these songs out around the country. Independent venues are where we started and they’re still the lifeblood of live music, so it’s important for us to keep playing them.”
The single is taken from their forthcoming album Hello Beautiful, due out on Friday 1st May 2026 through Flip Flop Records. Their sixth studio album and first full length release since What Are We Fighting For back in 2016, Hello Beautiful also features long time collaborators Stu Thoy and Graham Mann and “sees the band reconnecting with the melodic optimism that first made them one of Britain’s most loved guitar bands.”

Dodgy will tour the UK this spring in support of the new album, playing independent venues wherever possible in support of the grassroots circuit that first helped launch their career. Then later in the year, Dodgy will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Free Peace Sweet album with a series of very special shows featuring The Icicle Works as guests.
“We’ve been through so much together as a band, and the fact we’re still here making new records and playing shows we genuinely love is something we don’t take for granted,” said Clark. “The new album feels like a fresh start, and celebrating Free Peace Sweet at the same time makes 2026 feel pretty special for us.”
