James And The Cold Gun… Above The Lake

Following live festival sets at Reading this Saturday and Leeds on Sunday, Welsh alternative rock outfit James And The Cold Gun will headline at The Lower Third, on Denmark Street in London on Thursday 25th September.

Alongside a warm-up show for Reading at theBlackcat in Bridgend these dates areJames And The Cold Gun’s first UK dates since their 2024 tour supporting Duff McKagen (Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver) – 13 dates across 9 countries. 2024 also saw the band play major European festivals such as Germanys’ Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park.

Fronted by James Joseph on guitar and vocals, the band is completed by James Biss (Guitar and vocals), Gaby Elise (Bass) and Jack Wrench (Drums).

Out now is the band’s new single ‘Above The Lake’ that was played on the Radio 1 Rock Show as part of the Reading/Leeds preview show.

‘Above The Lake’ single is taken from the band’s Face In the Mirror album, on Stone Gossard’s Loosegroove/Prospect Park Records. The brooding song was self-produced by the band and recorded at Studio Litho in Seattle.

The track has echoes of Queens Of the Stone Age, a slight departure from the band’s usual punk and roll sound and leans more into some of their alt rock influences.
