John Corabi’s Memories

Due out on 24th April, John Corabi‘s solo album New Day, ahead of that The Dead Daisies frontman’s latest single ‘That Memory’ has been released alongside an official music video, all courtesy of the Frontiers record label.

‘That Memory’ is a great tune that my good pal Charlie Starr sent me a rough idea on,” said Corabi of the Blackberry Smoke frontman’s involvement. “I played it for Marti Frederiksen (my producer) and he loved it. We changed the key to fit my voice and recorded it! It’s a great tune, and without being too emasculated… it’s my wife’s favourite from the record! Thank you, Charlie Starr!”

Recorded in Nashville during the summer of 2025 and produced by multi platinum songwriter and producer Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Buckcherry), New Day fuses classic 70s rock, soul and blues influences into something timeless and deeply personal.

Frederiksen is also featured on backing vocals, guitars, piano and percussion. Evan Frederiksen contributes drums, bass, B3 organ, electric guitar, mandolin and programming, while Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses) handles lead guitar. Paul Taylor (Winger, Steve Perry) plays piano, organ and clavinet, and Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke) solos on guitar.

Tracks featured are: ‘New Day’, ‘That Memory’, ‘Faith, Hope And Love’, ‘When I Was Young’, ‘One More Shot’, ‘1969’, ‘Laurel’, ‘Good To Be Back Here Again’, ‘Love That’ll Never Be’, ‘Cosí Bella’, ‘Your Own Worst Enemy’ and ‘Everyday People’.

The album can be ordered here.

“I’m very excited for everybody to hear this new collection of songs!” said Corabi. “I wanted to put together an album of eclectic, organic songs that are reminiscent of the music I grew up listening to, and I truly believe the mission was accomplished! This is a 60s/70s sounding classic rock and roll record… turn it up, and enjoy!”
