Justin Hawkins is hitting the road! You’ve probably seen him pop up on your socials discussing all things music, and if you have, you’ll know the man is genuinely hilarious. We also love The Darkness, so this announcement has us properly excited.
For the uninitiated, Justin Hawkins Rides Again started as a YouTube series where Hawkins, with his encyclopaedic knowledge of rock music and gloriously unfiltered opinions, dissects songs, artists, and industry nonsense. It’s educational, it’s hilarious, and it’s delivered by a man who once performed in a catsuit and knows exactly how ridiculous rock ‘n’ roll can be. The live show promises an evening of conversation, anecdotes, facts and, as the press release delightfully admits, “near truths” based on three decades in music.
New for this tour is something called Cerebral Connections, where Hawkins will demonstrate why everything in modern music has something to do with everything else. There’s apparently singing and stamping of feet involved. We’re in.
The tour promises you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll wonder when Nando’s closes. Can’t argue with that.
The 20 date tour kicks off on January 12th in Swindon before winding through Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and wrapping up at London’s Cadogan Hall on February 7th.
If you’ve ever wanted to spend an evening listening to one of British rock’s most entertaining voices explain why certain songs became hits and why Yungblud exists, this is your chance. Tickets are likely to move fast.
