Kreator are bringing their critically acclaimed documentary Hate & Hope to London for its first ever screening outside of Germany, the night before they tear the roof off O2 Academy Brixton.
The screening takes place at The Ritzy Picturehouse, Brixton Oval on Thursday 26th March at 7:30pm, in association with heavy music streaming site Thunderflix. All four band members will be in attendance for a Q&A alongside director Cordula Kablitz Post, who followed the legendary thrash outfit through years of global concerts in Japan, India, Los Angeles and Germany between 2023 and 2024. The film also digs into exclusive archival footage dating back to 1984 and captures the pre production of their latest album Krushers Of The World.
It’s a rare opportunity to get that close to a band who’ve been at the forefront of thrash metal for over four decades. Mille Petrozza and crew have never been ones to rest on their legacy, and Krushers Of The World, their sixteenth studio album out now via Nuclear Blast, is proof of that. Produced by Jens Bogren, it’s been praised across the board, with Classic Rock calling them thrash metal’s most unassailable champions.
The day after the screening, Kreator headline O2 Academy Brixton on 27th March with Carcass, Exodus and Nails in support. That’s a lineup that could level buildings. The tour continues through Manchester’s O2 Apollo on 28th March and Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 29th March before heading across Europe.
Tickets for the documentary screening are on sale now, and the film will be available worldwide via Thunderflix from 27th March.
