Lamb of God aren’t messing about. Fresh off the back of ‘Sepsis’ dominating metal charts, the Richmond heavyweights have unleashed ‘Parasocial Christ,’ three minutes of unrelenting fury that’ll leave your neck sore for days.
Reuniting with longtime producer Josh Wilbur, the band delivers exactly what you’d expect: crushing riffs, Randy Blythe’s signature snarl, and a message that hits harder than a circle pit at full tilt. The accompanying video, directed by Jon Vulpine, is a stark, desaturated descent into madness that perfectly captures the track’s intensity.
“The Information Age has birthed the attention economy, an industry worth hundreds of billions of dollars anchored in keeping eyeballs firmly glued to screens,” Blythe explains. “You are a product, and you are being sold in a marketplace you have no share in.” It’s a brutal wake-up call wrapped in a sonic assault, classic Lamb of God, really.
The band’s just announced a massive Spring 2026 North American run with support from Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Guitarist Mark Morton called it “the loudest, proudest, floor shakin’-est, earth quakin’-est, ear-splittin’-est, mosh pittin’-est, undiluted, undisputed HEAVIEST tour of the whole damn year.” Hard to argue with that lineup.
They’re also headlining Friday night at Bloodstock Open Air on 7th August 2026. Plus, there’s the annual Headbangers Boat cruise featuring Zakk Sabbath, The Dillinger Escape Plan, In Flames, GWAR, and more debauchery than your liver can handle.
