Liv Kristine Releases Acoustic Version of Lotus

Norwegian dark metal queen Liv Kristine turns the other cheek with the release of her latest single, ‘Lotus (Acoustic Version)’ that originally appeared on her 2014 album, Vervain.

Revealing the former Theatre Of Tragedy and Leaves’ Eyes‘ singer at her most intimate side, the track completely stripped down and yet haunting, this new acoustic recording, was recorded during the sessions for the current album Amor Vincit Omnia.

The song unfolds with gentle guitar sounds, delicate piano and Kristine’s characteristic, angelic voice. Her voice floating above the arrangement, without any bombastic metal trappings, showing ‘Lotus’ to be a musical meditation on fragility, hope and inner strength.

Available via Metalville Records, you can check out the video for  Liv Kristine’s new single ‘Lotus (Acoustic Version)’ below.
