Metallica Add 6 More Las Vegas Sphere Shows

Let’s be honest: did anyone actually think Metallica wouldn’t add more dates to their Las Vegas Sphere residency? Of course they would. When have the guys ever let a chance to play pass them by?

Following what the band themselves describe as “unbelievable demand,” six additional shows have been announced for the Life Burns Faster residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Fan club presales for these new dates begin Wednesday, March 4, at 1 PM ET // 10 AM PT, with both Legacy and Fifth Members getting access simultaneously this time around. No staggered rollout, which should theoretically mean fairer chances for everyone. Single-night tickets, 2-Night No Repeat Weekend Tickets, and travel packages will all be available.

The reaction from fans has been, predictably, a mixed bag of excitement and frustration. One commenter noted they’re “52,895th in line to buy tickets right now,” while another pointed out the now-familiar issue: “I got in as soon as the waiting room opened and there’s still 250k people ahead of me and I’m sure plenty of them are bots and resellers.”

It comes as no surprise that Metallica have announced further dates. We’re glad to have a second chance.

The Sphere shows represent something of a new era for the band. The venue itself is the real star here, with its massive LED interior screen creating visuals that people are still trying to wrap their heads around. If you managed to secure tickets for the first run, consider yourself lucky. For everyone else, these six additional shows might just be your window.

Keep watching for exact dates and further information.
