Chris Difford from Squeeze is headlining a charity festival at the O2, and the supporting lineup reads like a who’s who of British music royalty.
The Climax Blues Band (you know, “Couldn’t Get it Right”) are playing. There’s Hamish Stuart and Robbie McIntosh – yes, the guys who’ve played with Paul McCartney. Plus UK Blues Band of the Year Brave Rival and a whole host of others.
Every ticket you buy goes straight to Dementia UK, a charity doing incredible work for families dealing with one of the UK’s biggest health crises.
Why This Matters
Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia. It’s devastating for entire families, not just the person diagnosed. Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses provide the kind of specialist support that changes lives – they’re on the free helpline, in GP practices, hospitals, and care homes, basically wherever families need them most.
Festival organiser Adam Norsworthy put it perfectly: “We want to pack the place out to raise as much money and awareness as possible.” Last year’s event raised over £8,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity. This year, they’re aiming even higher.
Blues vocalist Alice Armstrong, who’s performing, called it “not only the party of the year, but an event in aid of such a powerful, important cause.”
The Story Behind Milkfest
Milkfest was founded in 2024 by English blues rock band The Milk Men. What started as an idea from guitarist Adam Norsworthy has grown into something special – staged and promoted by Dennis Arnold and Triple A Entertainment, it’s become the annual charity event that brings together the best of British blues and rock.
