Myr’s New Black Metal Release… Brennt

New  black metal Myr has unleashed their new single, ‘Brennt‘, available on all digital streaming platforms, it comes off the band’s debut album, Helvegen, set for release on 20th June.

‘Brennt’ offers a stark preview of Myr‘s forthcoming album, showcasing the band’s distinctive sound and thematic depth. You can check out the music video, created in collaboration with Grupa 13 (Behemoth, Amon Amarth) here at RAMzine.

Svartanand TZommer, two seasoned figures from the metal community, are behind Myr who are said to deliver “a sound that is both raw and melodic, drawing deeply from the wellspring of Scandinavian legends and the traditions of Northern black metal”.

Based in Norway, Myr has been described as “an immersive experience into the dark and untamed spirit of Northern black metal”. Helvegen being a haunting exploration of mysticism and darkness, invoking the brutal intensity of the Nordic wilderness. Fans of SatyriconBathory, and Dissection will find a kinship in Myr‘s sound. The album classic black metal, blended with a contemporary melodic sensibility.

Helvegen was mixed and mastered by Tore Stjerna, known for his work with WatainMayhem, and Tribulation, at Necromorbus Studio in Sweden.
