Memphis heshers Namazu return louder than ever with their latest sonic assault, ‘In Like Flynn‘, set to drop April 18 via Golden Robot Records.
Charging out of the gate with zero restraint, ‘In Like Flynn’ is a thunderous tribute to Errol Flynn, who the band was the original hasher. Namazu deliver a barrage of tribal drums, chest-rattling riffs, and an all-out wall of sound that pays homage to heavy music in its most primal and potent form.
The track was recorded and mixed by Alan Burchum (Deadbird, Korroded, Autolith), whose raw touch adds grit and ferocity to the song’s already aggressive nature. Mastered by Ryan Boesch (Fu Manchu, Whores, Foo Fighters, Norma Jean), the end result is a crushing, full-spectrum blast of heaviness that refuses to let up.
‘In Like Flynn‘ is a riff-drenched celebration of rock ‘n’ roll’s wilder spirit and can be ordered here.
