Stoner rock band Near Dusk release new album Through The Cosmic Fog on 28th October, through Iron Head Records.
Featuring guitarist/vocalist Matthew Orloff, bass player Kellen McInerney, and drummer Jon Orloff, the band deliver hard riffing, mile high stoner rock drenched in psychedelia and heavy blues, all laden with heavy woody riffs, slow driving tempos, and plenty of fuzz to go around.
The album can be ordered here and tracks featured are:
‘The Way it Goes’ – “Woody riffs throughout, this one is about that someone who destined to let you down every time.”
‘Spliff Em All’ – “Starts with growl and lead riffs. Guns a blazin’. Dedicated to any dude who was the source of any womans #metoo.”
‘The Damned’ – “Another jam with speed in mind. Frontside, backside, smack the lip… So pitted.”
‘Blood For Money’ – This one is about personal growth though pain and a hard road, individually and as a collective.
‘EMFD’ – Inspired by the 1976 film Eat My Dust. A sense of rebellion with the struggle of conservative values. Crank it and slam the footprint gas pedal.”
‘Roses Of Durban’ – “Written directly in the wake of a passed loved one. It was a time of reflection and a renewed need to depart knowledge for the next generation.”
‘Cosmic Fog’ – “No vocals on this one. Just sonic emotions that wind you thru a psychedelic journey.”
‘Slab City’ – “This last one really puts the final stamp on the album. It’s about the working man and his daily headspace. It goes thru so many different movements musically. It’s a trip!”
