Brazilian modern thrash force Nervosa have dropped ‘Impending Doom’, the opening track and third single from their forthcoming sixth album, Slave Machine, which lands this Friday, April 3, via Napalm Records.
The track builds menacingly with thunderous riffs and rapid-fire drums, delivering sinister social observations while firmly establishing the five-piece’s dominance in the scene. Produced once again by Martin Furia of Destruction fame, ‘Impending Doom’ blends old-school power with a modern edge that shows Nervosa have their sights set firmly on the future.
The band said of the track that it carries dark vibes and an epic feel, calling it a powerful introduction to the new record and a big step forward in their career.
Slave Machine is twelve tracks deep and promises to be their most brutal and melodic offering yet. With founding guitarist Prika Amaral now firmly established as frontwoman following 2023’s Jailbreak, Nervosa are tearing through the scene with serious momentum, having played the likes of Wacken and Hellfest.
The album will be available on vinyl, CD digipak, cassette and digital formats, with a limited 2LP gatefold splatter edition strictly capped at 300 copies worldwide.
Nervosa hit the festival circuit later this year with dates at Speedfest, Tolminator, Rock Castle, and a coveted slot at Rock in Rio in September.
Nervosa are: Prika Amaral (vocals, guitars), Helena Kotina (guitars), Hel Pyre (bass), Emmelie Herwegh (bass), and Michaela Naydenova (drums).
