Nita Strauss’s Controlled Chaos is coming

Controlled Chaos, the debut solo album from guitar lady extraordinaire, Nita Strauss, is due to be released on November 12th on the Sumerian label. A taster for the album, the track ‘Our Most Desperate Hour’ gives the listener a first look at the continuous evolving of Nita’s career, which has seen her play with and alongside Alice Cooper, The Iron Maidens and Femme Fatale, amongst others. She describes the new album as “an opportunity to give the listener a glimpse into my personality and what goes on inside my mind”.

2018 has already been a good one for her, as she’s been named as the first ever signature female guitarist in the 60 year history of Ibanez Guitars. Her renown in the profession as a guitarist has allowed her to self-produce this new eleven track album, which sees her reconnect to why she first began playing. She says “All my real heroes made instrumental albums and, while my career’s been playing in bands, I’ve never forgotten the dream which inspired me to pick up a guitar in the first place”.
