No Sinner, the Canadian powerhouse blues rock band from Vancouver, have hit the UK, playing the Dot To Dot Festival from Friday 23rd May through to Sunday 25th (taking in Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham), they then take in two more dates under their own steam to conclude a short-but-sweet Save Your Soul UK tour.
The remaining dates are Leeds Brudenell Social Club on Tuesday 27th May and the London Islington Garage on Thursday 29th May. The band, who built up a considerable following when they supported Beth Hart in Europe during 2013, will then make their way over to Holland and Germany for dates in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Hannover, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Dresden and Berlin.
Prior to that No Sinner release their new single, Love Is A Madness, on Monday 26th May via Provogue Records. Written by lead singer Colleen Rennison and Parker Bossley, the single was produced by Warne Livesey (whose previous credits include Midnight Oil, Deacon Blue, The Creatures, The The, Paul Young, Julian Cope, Matthew Good) and mixed by Steve Bays (formerly of Hot Hot Heat and currently with Mounties).
Rennison (whose surname is No Sinner spelt backwards) has been turning heads with her deep, rocking and soulful vocals and riveting stage presence. Classic Rock Magazine and The Blues Magazine included No Sinner in their Ones to Watch in 2014, and the band, also featuring guitarist Eric Campbell, drummer Ian Browne and bassist Bradley Ferguson, have already recorded an exclusive session for veteran disc jockey Bob Harris that will be aired on BBC Radio 2 in July.
Selected by Amazon UK for their 2014 New and Emerging Artists campaign, and championed by Blues & Soul as Album of the Month the magazine commented, “Think of Joss Stone, Etta James and Beth Hart’s growling blues rock raunch with the retro rock power of Vintage Trouble, and the rasping rockabilly of Imelda May. Add to the mix, Alabama Shakes, and stir.” Check out the tour and records to find out why.
