One Last Day Drop New EP Eyes Like Glass Thoughts Like Fuel

South East alt metallers One Last Day are back with a vengeance, dropping their new EP Eyes Like Glass // Thoughts Like Fuel. If you caught their recent single ‘Still Breathing’, you already know these lads aren’t messing about.

This five-track collection feels like a proper statement of intent after a few years away from the game. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it tackles everything from defiance and self-deception to finding your safe space in an increasingly chaotic world.

Opening track ‘Still Breathing’ sets the tone perfectly: a middle finger to giving up, urging you to speak out and keep pushing forward. ‘Ash & Bone’ gets uncomfortable, diving into the damage we do to ourselves when we’re pretending to be someone we’re not. Then there’s ‘Echoes’, the second single with its moody black and white video, which holds up a mirror to how we judge others versus how we judge ourselves. Heavy stuff.

‘Don’t Go Under’ offers a moment of respite, celebrating whatever or whoever makes you feel at home when the world’s trying to drag you down. Closing things out, ‘Watch the World Decay’ brings William Alex Young of Defences along for a dystopian ride that hits way too close to home given the state of things today.

One Last Day aren’t newcomers to the circuit either. They’ve shared stages with Pistols At Dawn and Nocny Kochanek, racked up 10k streams on ‘Still Breathing’ in just over a month, and built a solid following across UK and European venues.
